All The Drugstore Products Celebs Are Love
Everyone loves a bargain… No matter who you are! Yup, we’re referring to these seven celebs who all rely on drugstore products despite having the money to splash on all the bougie skin, hair, and makeup products their hearts desire. It also shows how many ahhhmazing formulas there are in the drugstore aisle; you just have to know where to look. Although, we can probably assume these celebs didn’t stumble across these drugstore baddies while grocery shopping. These celebs can thank their MUAs and hairstylists for these drugstore secrets, and you can thank us for sharing them with you!
1. Alicia Key’s Must-Have Hair Prep
At the 2021 NAACP Image Awards, Alicia Keys pulled up with a stunning 90s-inspired pony paired with her signature baby hairs. To prime and prep her locks, celeb hairstylist Kendall Dorsey relied on two drugstore products. He started with the Dark & Lovely Protective Style Hair Hydrator, $7, to ensure her locks looked shiny and healthy. Then, he snatched her hair into a ponytail and added the Dark & Lovely Protective Styles Tension Tamer, $7, for a sleek and sexy finish.
2. Lizzo’s Ride or Die Drugstore Lashes
When it came to the best beauty looks from the 2021 Grammys, Lizzo’s statement look was at the top of every list. Everything about the look was utter perfection, from her hair clips to her soft glam. According to her go-to MUA, Alexx Mayo, when it came to the look, he wanted “to contrast the softness of the Balmain gown with a striking, smoky feline shape, kissable soft lips, and a statement lash.” And to do so, he relied on his fave drugstore lash brand: “The Kiss Lash Couture Matte Black Faux Mink, $8, lashes helped me achieve maximum glam and depth around her lashes.” We’re sold!
3. Hailey Bieber’s Drugstore Detangler
Hailey Bieber is a fellow beauty lover, so we always love hearing her beauty recommendations. Recently, she spilled the deets on her fave detangling hair solution. Hailey told Elle, “My hair is really fine, so it gets knotty out of the shower. It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Conditioner, $21, works well at detangling for me, and it’s not too greasy either.”
4. Meg Thee Stallion’s Drugstore Beat
Meg Thee Stallion stole the show at the 2021 Grammys, and she did it with a full face of drugstore makeup. To create her smoldering smokey eye, she used the Revlon So Fierce! Prismatic Eye Shadow Palette in Clap Back, $10, with the ColorStay Looks Book Eyeshadow Palette in Maverick, $9, and finished it off with the So Fierce! Chrome Ink Liquid Liner in Gunmetal, $13. We recently tried the So Fierce! Prismatic Eye Shadow Palette in Clap Back, $10, and we fell in love with the bouncy texture and intense pigment payoff – it literally melts onto your lid and has the most stunning finish.
To create her signature ’90s lip look, Meg lined her lips with ColorStay Lip Liner in Chocolate, $8, and added a top coat of the Super Lustrous The Gloss in Crystal Clear, $8.

In an interview with Refinery29, Laverne Cox recently revealed that her ride-or-die mascara is the L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara, $13, which is also Beyonce’s fave. She said, “That mascara is so good. It’s good for the upper lashes, where I just do two or three coats. For bottom ones, it’s like one coat, and you’re gorgeous.” We can confirm she’s right; it leaves your lashes looking SO full, thick, and voluminous in just a couple of coats.
6. Blake Lively’s SPF Staple
Blake is known for her weird beauty hacks – like putting mayonnaise in her hair – so we’re always intrigued by what products she actually relies on. She gave us a rare glimpse into her beauty routine on her Instagram stories and revealed that while she loves to splurge on some beauty products (amen sister), she likes to save on others. When it comes to hydrating and protecting her skin, she uses the CeraVe Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 Face Lotion, $16. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard a celeb praise CeraVe.
7. Yara Shahidi’s Nourishing Cleanser
We can’t think of a time when we haven’t marveled at Yara Shahidi’s dewy, glowing skin, so we’re always dying to hear her skincare recommendations.
