How To Find Your Perfect Overachiever Concealer Shade Match
Creating our Overachiever Concealer has been a MAJOR project for us – getting the right coverage, a natural finish, and using the BEST ingredients was soooo important! So not only is it full of good-for-your-skin ingredients, the coverage really is insane – it’s packed with 31% pure pigment – and it has amazing buildability, so whether you just need a little touch-up or full-coverage, you can work it however you like.
Check out these before and after pics, which have NOT been retouched under the eyes at all (on either side)!
Find your perfect shade:
If you want to use the Overachiever purely to hide dark circles, then a brightening shade will remove all traces of any late nights. If you want to put that 31% pigment to work, choose a conceal shade, which will match your skin tone and work perfectly for any other areas you want to conceal.
Take a quick look at our Overachiever Concealer shade matching guide. We’ve given two shade options for each concealer, whether you want a concealer or a brightener.
Brighten: A brightening shade will cancel out darkness and brighten your under-eye area. A brightening shade is also perfect for defining your contour or just making it look like you had 10 hours sleep – it’s typically two or three shades paler than your skin tone.
Conceal: A concealing shade will match or be very similar to your skin tone, which will give a more subtle look.
For each of the above options, there are two shades so you can find the right match to suit your undertone. Each letter explains the undertone: G stands for golden (warm undertones), the N for neutral (warm and cool undertones), and B for beige (blue, cool undertones). Our tips for application:
- Carefully release the formula by gently squeezing the tube, and apply it directly to the under-eye area. The cooling Zamac tip helps to de-puff and conceal for a refreshed look.
- Blend using a brush or a damp beauty sponge. By gently stippling you’ll achieve a more full-coverage look.
- To keep your concealer looking flawless all day long, set with a loose powder for a lasting, luminous-matte finish.
Online shopping tip: If you’re still debating between a few shades, match with the one you think is closest to your skin tone, and then choose a shade fairer. If you choose a concealer a shade deeper than your skin tone, it won’t work, but if it’s the same or one or two shades lighter, that’s perfect for concealing.
The Overachiever formula:
Just like you guys, our Overachiever concealer goes the extra mile: We fortified it with long-wearing polymers, which fuse to the skin to give you water-resistant, transfer-free coverage all day. We also used ingredients to help make your skin feel as good as it looks: Green tea to help reduce discoloration and stress, Persian Silk Tree extract, known for its potent anti-inflammatory and pollution fighting antioxidant properties, soothing and moisturizing Jericho Rose extract, and caffeine to rejuvenate the skin.
