Our Go-To Drugstore Tinted Moisturizers For A Dewy Glow (From $7)
If you had asked us two years ago, ‘What makeup product could you not live without?’ It’s unlikely that we would’ve mentioned a tinted moisturizer. Fast forward to spring 2021 and we’re low-key obsessed and always down to try a new – preferably budget-friendly – formula.
So, we decided to round up five tinted moisturizers that we’ve fallen in love with over the past year. These products go above and beyond by delivering a surge of glow-getting ingredients while evening out skin tone. Whether you have oily or dry skin, there’s a bomb formula on this list.
For Dry Skin: L’Oreal Skin Paradise Water Infused Tinted Moisturizer, $17
It’s no secret that we’re obsessed with this tinted moisturizer. The 70% water-based formula provides light to medium coverage with broad-spectrum SPF 20 to offer light protection against UVA and UVB damage. It’s also infused with a blend of skin-loving ingredients like soothing aloe and brightening ginger to quench your skin for a radiant, healthy-looking glow. We love it as it feels super creamy yet lightweight and wears well throughout the day. It also promises 24-hour moisture and will boost levels of skin hydration by 10.2% in just five days with regular use.
For Dewy Skin: The Ordinary Serum Foundation, $7
As soon as we tried this formula we fell in love. The silky serum offers moderate semi-matte coverage with a real skin finish. Plus as the pigments are uniquely dispersed, the formula doesn’t look cakey on your skin, in fact, it’s easily buildable and does not settle into fine lines or wrinkles. It’s also cruelty-free and vegan, which is another major bonus.
For Sensitive Skin: NYX Professional Makeup Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil, $13
If you’re looking for a new WFH complexion staple, the NYX Professional Makeup Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil, $13, is a great pick. The lightweight tinted cream blends seamlessly into the skin with a satin finish. It’s also infused with aloe vera to hydrate and soothe, and calming cucumber extract, making it ideal for sensitive skin or if you’re prone to redness. Plus, it’s also non-comedogenic so it won’t clog your pores, and like all NYX products, it’s vegan, cruelty-free and PETA certified.

This lightweight moisturizer evens out your complexion in seconds with its semi-sheer tint. Formulated with acai, licorice, grape seed, almond, aloe, and vitamins A, E & C, it’ll also work overtime to brighten, hydrate and replenish your skin for a radiant glow. Plus, it offers SPF 15 skin protection, although we still recommend using a stand-alone SPF 30 underneath to get adequate protection.

Just because you have oily or combination skin that doesn’t mean you should rule out tinted moisturizers… Case in point the ColourPop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturizer, $10. It’s super lightweight and will even skin tone while leaving you with a fresh and healthy glow. It also has an impressive shade range for a tinted moisturizer.
