Dying Over These ColourPop Palettes – Which Would You Pick?
I’m a huge fan of ColourPop Cosmetics, the formulas of their eyeshadow palettes are amazing; they’re smooth and long-wearing, and they’re just great products that don’t cost a bomb. Plus, the packaging is super cute, and who doesn’t love that! I recently bought a ton of palettes, so here’s my rundown to make it easier for you to decide whether you’re buying for a ‘friend’ or not!
MY FAV: Yes, Please! (aka Cute AF), $16
Tones: Warm oranges, reds, and browns
Formulas: 8 mattes, 4 shimmers
I LOVE this palette, and it’s easily my fav out of all of these. It’s super versatile; it has loads of mattes, which makes building looks really easy, and it has a lot of wearable colors. Shop it here.
MOST TRAVEL-FRIENDLY: You Had Me At Hello, $18
Tones: Plums, pinks, and browns
Formulas: 6 mattes, 6 shimmers
My second fav palette! This has some really stunning shimmer shades in it and a lot of essential matte colors that will create the base for so many looks! It also has a mirror, which is a huge bonus for me, as I’m always doing my makeup on the go, and this just makes it so much easier. Shop it here.
MOST VERSATILE: I Think I Love You (metallic pink), $16
Tones: Bronzes and nudes
Formulas: 4 mattes, 8 shimmers
I don’t just think, I actually love this palette. It’s versatile and packed with loads of really wearable shades for daytime – so you can create really gorgeous subtle looks, but it also has a bold gold, black, and dark mattes, which are perfect for creating a smokey eye for the evening. MOST BOLD: Element Of Surprise, $16
Tones: Browns, and bronze shades with a pop of pink
Formulas: 6 mattes, 6 shimmers
This really does have an element of surprise – in the form of a popping pink shade. I like that this palette has four different textures; matte, metallic, satin, and duochrome, but I don’t know if this has the right shades to make it a classic palette that I would reach for all the time. Shop it here.
PRETTIEST PALETTE: She, $16
Tones: Plums, pinks, and nudes
Formulas: 5 mattes, 5 shimmers
Created in collaboration with the gorgeous actress and model Karrueche, I think this is such a pretty palette, but it also reminds me of the You Had Me At Hello Palette – so you would only need to buy one of these, which helps to narrow things down! This palette has more shimmers than the other, and it’s also more-pink toned – plus this packaging is super pretty. Shop it here.
MOST PLAYFUL: My Little Pony, $16
Tones: Warm oranges, reds, and browns
Formulas: 3 mattes, 6 shimmers, 2 satins, 1 duo-chrome
This is such an adorable palette, and TBH I’d buy it just for the packaging. The colors are really playful and definitely retro-inspired, but I’m not sure how wearable all the shades are, although you can definitely create some pretty looks.
