There are times when beauty touch-ups are unavoidable, like when your mask smudges your lipgloss or you watch the Notebook without waterproof mascara. However, in many cases, the right application technique can make all the difference, and the same goes for your fragrance.
In fact, carrying your perfume in your purse, for said touch-ups, could be doing more harm than good. By keeping a fragrance in your bag, you’ll not only expose it to different temperatures, but you’ll also cause the bottle to move, thereby exposing the formula to excess air, which can disrupt the fragrance over time.

This is where our go-to fragrance hack comes in to save the day. It’s super easy, it’ll increase the longevity of your signature scent, and all it involves is a tub of Vaseline. Here’s everything you need to know…
It’s a well-known fact that fragrance wears better on hydrated skin, as the scent is able the cling to the skin for longer. Therefore, not only should you ensure your skin is well moisturized, but by rubbing a sticky ointment like Vaseline Original Petroleum Jelly, $4, onto the skin prior to application, you’ll increase the staying power of the scent.
For long-lasting fragrance, rub a little Vaseline on your pressure points: The inside of your wrists and elbows, the back of your knees, the nape of your neck, and behind your ears. Then, spray your signature scent on these areas, and you’ll be smelling good all day long! Remember though, don’t rub your wrists together, as this will disrupt the top and middle notes and alter the journey of the fragrance.
