Model, Entrepreneur & Influencer: Nicole Williams-English
The treatments: I go to Skin Thesis, a facial spa in Los Angeles, to get all of my facials and skincare treatments. Melissa is a genius when it comes to overall youthful-looking skin and I trust her with my life. I do a laser facial to stimulate collagen, help fill in fine lines, blur pores, and to even-out texture and tone, and I love a good oxygen treatment to replenish and hydrate. Then I always do 20 minutes of LED at the end of the other treatments to enhance the laser, stimulate and heal. Another one of my favorites is The Golden Cocktail Facial, which uses micro-infusion to tighten and rejuvenate.
The products: As for products, I like to use SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore Cream,$128, day and night, which is great for anti-aging and very lightweight. I always wash my face before bed, when all makeup must come off. I also sleep with iS Clinical Youth Eye Complex, $98, so it soaks in while I get my beauty rest.
The tips: My biggest skin challenge would be dryness, so my tip is to always carry a little rose water spray in my bag every time I fly because the altitude can be so dehydrating and I find a couple spritzes can really help. I also find that my pores are more vulnerable when I’m traveling and I tend to have a small breakout every now and then, to prevent that it’s nice to take travel days to give your skin a “day off” from makeup.
Actress: Cara Santana
The products: I love a good hydrating mask, like Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask, $48, since it’s perfectly designed for tired, dull or puffy skin and it’s easy to travel with. My favorite day-to-day moisturizer right now is Dior Capture Youth Age-Delay Advanced Crème, $95 — I put it on every morning. I’m also a fan of a good makeup remover. At the end of the day, I cannot always be bothered to fully wash my face, but I never sleep with makeup on. So the ultimate hybrid is a face wipe that will remove all your impurities from your skin, without the time commitment of a full routine. Neutrogena wipes are always by my bedside.
The tips: Sometimes your skin just needs a little more refreshing than normal, so you have to have a good peel or exfoliant. Since the skin under your eyes is the most sensitive (from dark circles to redness and puffiness) you need to de-escalate any issues, so I highly recommend a good eye gel, mask or cream. My go-to is Equal Beauty Moisture Eye Veil, $110 — it works wonders. Lastly, but not least, a sheet mask while you’re on the move. Joanna Vargas makes a great one that will tighten, brighten and firm your face when you don’t have time for much else. And my #1 skin tip? HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE! You can never go wrong with lots of water and as much sleep as possible — that is the truth.
The treatments: I swear by: Micro-dermabrasion at Raya (once every 3-6 months) to get all the dead skin off and Infrared treatments to keep your skin looking its best. Joanna Vargas has a fantastic Red Light Facial that gives your skin a good revamp. I like to get it done every quarter.
The routine: When it comes to day/night products, everyone’s skin is different so you have to find what works best for you. My routine in the morning is totally different than at night:
DAY: Dior Hydra Life Oil To Milk Makeup Removing Cleanser, $42, followed by AmorePacific Moisture Bound Skin Energy Hydration Delivery System, $60, AmorePacific Future Response Age Defense Creme, $195, Dior Capture Youth Plump Filler Age-Delay Plumping Serum, $95, or Dior Capture Youth Age-Delay Advanced Crème, $95.
NIGHT: Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes,$8
Model & Fiji Water Ambassador: Afiya Bennett
The daytime routine: When it comes to healthy skin, I swear by Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solutio, $50, as well their Super Fluid Daily UV Defense SPF 50, $38, during the day. I use both first thing in the morning and the dark spot corrector helps clear up hyperpigmentation as well as increase overall brightness and evenness and then apply my SPF 50 on top.
The nighttime regime: I remove makeup and wash my face with CeraVe Foaming Face Cleanser, $15, and then apply Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, $47. Often times my skin can lose its natural oils just from day-to-day activities, or even when I take off all of my makeup or come out of the shower, so the recovery oil helps restore the oils in my skin and give it a glow in the morning.
The tips: When it comes to my skin I try to always pay attention to what it needs. Whether it’s dry, needs a facial, looks oily — or even if I need to drink more water — it all translates on my face. Great skin starts from the inside out and one thing I try and stay away from is popping pimples. Popping pimples always leaves black marks on my skin that take forever to go away.
Principal Dancer at New York City Ballet & Designer of Tiler Peck Designs: Tiler Peck
The treatments: I swear by the No-Peel Peel Treatment at the Youth Corridor Clinic in New York City. Nowadays with so much social media, it takes a lot of courage to post a photo with absolutely no makeup on, but every time I get the No-Peel Peel I actually feel like my skin is glowing and I am proud to post my natural face. I like to treat myself to this facial at the end of each ballet season because when I am performing seven nights a week, my face definitely needs some tender loving care.
The products: As for my daily routine, the first thing I do in the morning is use Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser, $9.50, and then Youth Corridor Ultimate Antioxidant Vitamin C Serum, $195, and Ultimate Nourishing Creme,$250, which I apply second. At night (once my stage makeup is off), I apply Youth Corridor RetinUltimate Transforming Gel, $450, right before bedtime.
The tips: Another one of my skin tips is to use warm water to wash my face, rather than hot like I used to — as water that is too hot can be abrasive to the skin. I always wash my face with my hands and no longer use a washcloth since that can weather the face as well.
Founder of Xtend Barre: Andrea Rogers
The products: I’m a big fan of facial masks and use one at least 3-4 times per week to target different skin concerns. I recently traveled to Asia, where I picked up some incredible masks and treatments, but for daily products, I use an amazing skin cleanser called Banila Co Clean It Zero, $16, which helps purify sensitive skin. I follow that with a Korean product called Etude House Baking Powder B.B Deep Cleansing Foam, $10, which is a deep cleaning foam to exfoliate my skin, and then I apply a vitamin C + retinol treatment and finish with a Snail Repair Intensive Ampoule, $27. I repeat the same steps in the evenings but also apply a sleeping moisturizer from the Korean skincare line Mizon.
The tips: My other healthy skin tips would be always to wear sunscreen under makeup, wear a hat to provide more protection, and use a skin primer, which helps to create a nice even surface for makeup. I also never get out of the shower without applying body lotion. My biggest skin challenge was break-outs, which I solved by removing dairy from my diet, and I love to incorporate facial oils in the evenings. The Buff face oils can be custom-made to your skin type.
