Meet Irinel de León, the hairstylin’ hunny that all your fave Hollywood girls rely on. We’re talking Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Chrissy Teigen – the list goes on. Plus, her own gorgeous curl-crown can be added to the loooong list of different (read: famous) hair types and textures she’s worked with. Translation: she knows what she’s doing. In fact, here are her secrets to blow drying curls for max volume… And minimum damage.

Irinel says in her caption, “I always get asked how to get a smooth blowout on curly hair, so here it is! These tips can apply to any textured hair type! (〰➰➿) I never feel guilty blowing out my strands using the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer because it reads your hair temperature up to 40x a second.”

We’ve listed her top tips below to make it easier for you – she uses Dyson’s Supersonic Hair Dryer, $430, with the Styling Concentrator attachment for precision styling, btw.

Tip #1: First, part and clip away sections of your hair. Then, start at the hairline, and loop your hair around a round brush for added tension.

Tip #2: Move the blowdryer slowly on high heat as this helps create a smooth and shiny finish around a curly hairline. Blow dry while applying tension throughout, and add water if your hair isn’t damp or wet.

Tip #3: Set each styled section with a hairclip – this allows the hair to cool down and retain the shape for longer.

Tip #4: Part the hair at the back of your head into two sections (left and right). Grab the middle section and blow dry with a slow downward motion.
