Post-Coachella our IG feed has been overflowing with cutesy summer dresses, micro sunnies, and daisy dukes, which is MAJORLY getting us in the mood for summer. And with the spring of a new season, we’re always looking for easy and on-trend ways to update our look. It turns out ‘sand hair’ is THE perfect, fresh way to add a little dose of summer to your hair game.

As you guys probably guessed, sand hair is hair that mimics sandy shores; a dark bronde with a subtle blend of sunnier shades and ashy grains. To get the look, you’ll need balyage; a technique that allows the hairdresser to paint the color onto the hair, wherever they choose. The final effect is a more sun-kissed, natural look, which is integral for sand hair.
