PDO thread lift on neck

Sagging skin is inevitable for all of us as we get older, and until recently, the only option to turn back time was with a facelift – both expensive and slightly scary! However, there’s now a far less daunting and just as effective method that doesn’t involve going under the knife, and it literally takes less than an hour. Face-threading is the latest non-surgical technique that is literally everywhere in Hollywood – it gives instant results with no downtime and no scars! We spoke to the A-list’s ultimate beauty guru, Nurse Jamie, to get the down-low on how thread-lift works to tighten sagging skin on the face and body.

What it does: The PDO Thread Lift is an easy way to smooth wrinkles and tighten sagging skin without going under the knife, and celebs are using this treatment for both their face and body. The results are like a facelift, even though the procedure usually takes less than an hour, and there are no bruises. This treatment can also be used to tighten sagging skin on the body, including the neck, décolletage, tummy, arms, and legs.

How it works: Nurse Jamie uses NovaThreads, which are needles that are preloaded with a PDO thread (technically called Polydioxanone). The entire needle is inserted parallel to the skin, but when it’s removed (20 minutes later), the PDO thread remains under the skin. The thread is fully absorbed into the skin by the process of hydrolysis within 4 to 6 months and doesn’t leave behind any scar tissue. The threads not only add an immediate tightening effect, as if a facelift has been performed, but they stimulate collagen production over time so that even when the thread has dissolved, the lifting effect remains.

Where to do it: The treatment can be used to tighten sagging skin almost anywhere on the body, including the neck, décolletage, tummy, arms, and legs, but it’s most effective on the neck and jawline.

Results: Results can be seen almost instantly. Optimal results are seen around six weeks after the procedure, and depending on the type of threads used, results can last up to two years. The procedure can be repeated as needed.

Cost: Prices for this will vary depending on where you live, the surgeon you choose, and how much thread lifting you choose to have, but you could be looking at anywhere around $2000 for a treatment.
