This Super Beauty Tool Will Make Your Crow’s Feet Vanish
Who doesn’t love the idea of being invisible as a superpower? You could have endless fun and create so much mischief! Which is kind of the power that this beauty tool possesses – okay, you might not be invisible, but you will look like a superhero, and your crow’s feet will disappear. Dr. Dennis Gross’ latest skin-firming beauty device, the SpectraLite EyeCare Pro LED, harnesses my fav beauty therapy in the entire world – red light. Whenever I feel like my skin needs a pick me up, I like to use red light therapy, which stimulates collagen production and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. When I recently saw that Dr. Dennis Gross had added red light therapy to an eye mask tailored to treating crow’s feet, dark circles, and firming the skin, I knew I had to try it.
What it is: A red light mask containing 72 red and amber LEDs that fits snuggly around your face and targets lines around your eyes and between your brows. It will also improve the texture and tone of the area, as well as visibly firming the skin. The red light mask should be worn for just three minutes each day.
What it does: The collagen-stimulating LEDs penetrate deep into your dermal layers to “fortify skin’s fabric and enhance its elasticity which in turn, lessens the depth of lines and crow’s feet.” It claims that surface changes can be noticed in two weeks, with clinical studies showing improvements in fine lines, wrinkles, and skin tone after just ten weeks of daily use.
What we liked: First of all, this is SO easy to use! Just fit it on your eyes, tighten the elasticated band around your head, and press the on-button. Three minutes later, it switches off, and you’re good to go about your day – literally, my daughter could use this! It’s made of silicone and has a rubbery texture, so it doesn’t move about, and you really can do anything in this mask. The fact that you only need to wear it for three minutes a day is also amazing – so it’s completely undisruptive to your routine. I also love that this includes LED lights between the furrows of your brows, as this is definitely an area that needs attention but can be more difficult to target with other, larger red light devices. If you’re into things being convenient too, it’s super lightweight, travel-friendly, and quick to charge, so there’s no hassle at all. Plus, who doesn’t want to look like a superhero every day?
What we didn’t like: The only thing I noticed was that my vision did have a little bit of a glow afterward, but this wore off in under a minute. If your eyes are sensitive, you could find this uncomfortable, but for me, I got used to it after the first week. If I were to be picky, I would also say that the mask could be slightly bigger so that it could target more skin and fine lines.
My verdict: If fine lines or even the prevention of wrinkles is something you’re thinking about, this is a worthwhile investment – I’m already noticing a positive change in my fine lines. The fact that it’s just so quick and easy to do (even if it is every day) is so impressive to me – like there are no excuses not to do it. If you think how much you might spend on eye creams over a few years, this is easily the same price, but with a way more dramatic result. And I know this might sound funny, but you can actually use it on other areas of your face if you really want too. Legit, I can let this sit around my jawline and even place it around my neck to target the lines there – I know it’s crazy, but if I spend this much on a device, I want to get my money’s worth!
