2018 Update: The Amazing Beauty Products I’m Obsessed With
Over the years, I can honestly say that in all my time blogging, I’ve tried thousands of products! I live for trying new makeup and beauty products, but at the same time, I’ve tried so many things that I’ve also experienced my fair share of breakouts from products that really did not agree with my skin! Fortunately, there have been some really incredible products that have literally changed my life, and my skin – I know that sounds dramatic, but some of these beauty tools make a huge impact. I have some ride-or-die favorites that I’ll always love (like the SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic), but I wanted to update you guys with my new discoveries this year. If you can get your hands on any of these, I swear you’ll love them.
Yeouth Hyaluronic Acid Cream with Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Ferulic Acid, Tripeptide 31, $30
This super hydrating, vitamin-rich formula does amazing things for your skin; from plumping and hydrating with hyaluronic acid, protecting with vitamin C to age-reversing with Tripeptide-31, which improves collagen synthesis to improve the appearance of fine lines and age spots. I use it every evening after toning – while my skin is still damp to help it absorb better – and in the morning, my skin just looks more even-toned and plump.

Fenty Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner, $20
Every makeup lover needs a bomb eyeliner, and Fenty’s Flyliner is quite possibly the best I’ve ever used. The nib is really fine and it glides effortlessly on the skin, making precise application super easy. It’s super long-wearing, and I love how jet-black it is. My only complaint with this is that it did dry out more quickly than my other eyeliners.

Anne Semonin Super Active Contour Serum, $156
I swear this literally gave me an eyelift! The gel-textured serum is amazing for tightening and firming the appearance of fine lines around the lips and eyes. I use it twice a day, and I’ve really noticed an improvement in the hydration, tone, and appearance of wrinkles around my eyes, it even helps reduce puffiness and dark circles – I’m not joking when I say I’ve already ordered five bottles of this!

Ichikami Soft Volume Shampoo And Conditioner, $22
I’ve tried tons of hair products, but this is by far my fav shampoo and conditioner to date! It leaves your hair feeling so soft, smooth, and nourished, and it’s packed with amazing ingredients like purple rice bran, pomegranate and camellia extract, moutan bark and cherry blossom extract. It’s designed to help reinforce the cutciles to minimize hair thinning, while it also makes your hair look super glossy and gives really insane volume. I have very curly hair naturally, but I read tons of incredible reviews on Amazon that said this worked for lots of different hair types.

Filorga UV-BRONZE MIST SPF50+, $38
As you guys know, SPF is probably one of the most important things you can wear on your face every day. Daily SPF will help prevent and improve the appearance of scars and hyperpigmentation (UVB rays cause pigmentation), while also preventing collagen breakdown that results in fine lines and skin sagging from UVA rays – seriously, SPF is an everyday essential, see why here.
But as well as applying SPF before your makeup, if you’re out in the sun, you need to top up every two hours, and this handy little mist makes that possible! With glacial water to tone the skin, powerful antioxidants to protect against UV rays and signs of aging, and tan-enhancing vitamin H, this super fine mist sits perfectly on top of makeup to protect your skin – it also smells divine. I love it.

Legology Air-Lite Daily Lift For Legs, $82
I’m always skeptical about leg creams, but this whipped contouring cream really works like magic. It’s designed to deliver deep drainage to reduce tightness and puffiness caused by fluid retention, ease aches and pains, and energize the skin to discourage cellulite. I know, that’s a lot of promises, but it really does soothe and smoothe the legs, and combined with dry brushing, I’ve seen a big difference.

SkinCeuticals AOX+ Eye Gel, $95
I love to combine this with the Super Active Contour Serum for next-level lift. This gel contains 5% pure vitamin C, ferulic acid, and powerful botanicals to protect the delicate skin under the eyes. It’s amazing for reducing fine lines and I love to use this in the morning to help decrease puffiness.

Tatcha Camellia Cleansing Oil, $48
Probably one of the most important steps in your skincare routine is cleansing properly. If you don’t, your following skincare steps won’t absorb properly and your skin will never be ‘fully’ clean. The Korean method of double cleansing is my fav way of ensuring my makeup is thoroughly removed, so I always begin with a cleansing oil, and this Tatcha oil is by far my fave that I’ve tried! Using Japanese Camellia oil, which is rich in vitamins A,B, D and E, nourishing omegas, green tea, rice and algae extracts, this literally feeds your face while you cleanse. Check out how to do the double cleansing method here.

Ziip Beauty device, $495
This is one of my newest discoveries, and I’m completely obsessed with it – out of everything, this will give you instant results! The Ziip Beauty device uses nano currents to sculpt your face for more chiseled cheekbones, lifted everything, and it can also help to treat blemish-prone skin and diminish dark circles and fine lines. Check out my full review and all the details here. This is on the pricey side, but the results you get are similar to professional facials – the only difference is you can keep this for years!

SHAQUDA Suvé Body Brush Long, $210
One thing that’s made a huge difference to my skin and body has been dry brushing. If you struggle with ingrown hairs, cellulite or dry skin, dry brushing every day can make a HUGE difference as it helps boost lymphatic drainage (the process that eliminates harmful toxins from your body), while also gently exfoliating the skin. These dry brushes by Shaquda are awesome – they last for years – and although they’re expensive, this is a worthwhile investment. Each brush is handcrafted using walnut wood and natural and synthetic bristles that gently exfoliate – you can also use these wet to cleanse, or dry to increase circulation and stimulate lymphatic flow.
